About Me

I’m Katherine Meyers, a CPA and finance leader with more than 18 years of experience, who enjoys helping mission-driven organizations connect their financial decisions to the work they want to accomplish. Before founding Cloudbreak Consulting, I spent 13 years at Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC), including five as Chief Financial Officer, leading financial strategy, planning, and operations through significant growth.
I bring experience in nonprofit finance, federal grants, indirect cost rates, audits, financial systems, and board reporting. Relationships are at the heart of how I work: I listen, build trust, and bring people together to work through challenges. My approach is collaborative and practical. I translate financial information into plain language so people feel comfortable asking questions, understand their options, and can make confident decisions. I work alongside teams to build solutions they can sustain. I also serve on nonprofit boards and committees, bringing both a management and governance perspective to my work.
